Help! For any techie people reading my blog, when I try to link my card up to challenge with a 'Linky Tools v 2.0' I don't get the option of linking a photo from my actual post. This has only happened in the last few days. Any ideas why this is happening?
EDITED TO ADD: I think I've managed to solve the problem, although it will be a bit of a faff to do every time. I think blogger must have changed one of their setting recently, as I haven't had this problem until recently.
It's my son's birthday today and this is the card I made for him.
The patterned paper is from Anna Marie Designs.
The blank panel inside is for writing the message.

Great birthday card. Love the papers.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help but I'm SO computer challenged. Good luck. [Bunny]
Fabulous male card Liz and I love that fold - so easy to do and adds much more than a simple folded one. thanks for sharin with us at The Sisterhood of Crafters.
ReplyDeleteGreat birthday card Liz. I like the colours that you have used.
ReplyDeleteOn the linky issues, I can't say that I have come across that situation but will be interested in the answer if anyone knows in case I do. I am definitely not a techie person!
A statement diecut sentiment and great layout Liz,the sentiment looks great against your background papers
ReplyDeleteA super card and perfect masculine look.
ReplyDeleteI've had the same problem as you and I think I've worked out a solution. Usually, I upload my photos to Google photos direct from my phone, and they are all ready and waiting to be used on my blog, even though they aren't stored locally on my computer. I don't know whether that is the cause of the problem, but the Linky doesn't seem to be able to "see" any of the photos from Google that I've used on my blog.
So now I have to save the photo locally to my PC, then when I go to add my link to the Linky, instead of selecting "choose a photo from the post" I select "Upload photo" and upload it from my PC. That seems to work. If you need any more help, email me and I'll try to talk you through it in more detail.
Jane
Thanks, Jane. I’ve sent you an email. xx
DeleteOh wow, so beautiful.

Great colour combination on this super card. Sorry unable to help with your problem, not come across it as yet but then I've not tried linking since Sunday. Why must they keep 'improving' functions AKA 'mucking about with'. If it ain't broke don't fix it I say 😁

What a fantastic card for your son, I love the striking limited colour palette. I can't help with the linking but it looks like Jane has been able to help you out.
ReplyDeleteNot come across that issue Liz, but there again I very rarely enter challenges, use Linky from the other side of the fence so to speak.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour palette, ideal for your Son's Birthday. One of my boys has a birthday this week as well.

Wonderful card. That's a great fold too. I'm glad you mentioned about the Linky tool. I had the same problem last week and gave up, thinking it was me! Will be following this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific card for your son Liz and the black and red combination looks so stylish also the fold is fantastic. I usually have my cards on the computer as I crop and sort them out using Powerpoint and also add my watermark etc and it is sitting on the desktop and it either says get the link from the web page you have used above, or use an image from a file on your computer and I usually go for the 'From Web' option. I don't know if this is any help and I see Jane above says she will go into more detail, so hopefully you can get it sorted. x
ReplyDeleteI love how the red of the star stands out, it loos really beautiful! I wish I could tell you how to solve your problem, try looking on google see if something comes up, I hope you can fix it.

This is an awesome card for your son. Happy Birthday to him.
ReplyDeleteYikes, not blogging issues! I wish I was techie, but I am not. Glad you figured it out though, although it sounds like it will be a headache. Love your son's birthday card! I love this style of card as well. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLove your card Liz - what brand is the sentiment? It's a good size and perfect for male cards. Shabneez
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment die is an unbranded one I bought on eBay several years ago. I've never seen a branded version, so hopefully it isn't a copy of a branded one. x
DeleteSuper masculine card for your Son Liz, great design also. I haven't had a problems, but I know someone who does, I'll send her the message from Jane and maybe she can do what she suggested. Thanks.
