Welcome to my new follower, Sharon of Making The World Sparkle. I hope you have time visit my blog again soon.
I made a Lego card today. I'm not sure who will receive it, so I've left a space to add a number.
To make the Lego bricks, I cut rectangles of card 5cm x 2 1/2cm and squares 2 1/2cm x 2 1/2cm. The circles are punched with a 1cm punch and attached with little foam pads. I used a Sizzix embossing folder to make the background.
I am joining in the following challenges:
What a fabulous fun design in gorgeous bright colours

Wow, that's clever. Didn't realise you'd actually made the Lego bricks from scratch. Whoever gets this one will love it for sure
ReplyDeleteVery clever and hats off to you for your patience, must have taken you ages. I know little boys and probably big boys would love this, you could put 4 or 40 on it and it would still work lol x
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful card Liz, I've made many of these for family members and know how fiddly it is to punch and attach those little circles and keep them in a straight line :o)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for joining in my 'For a Child' challenge at Allsorts this week.

What a fun birthday card! This is so awesome and looks exactly like the real thing. The nice thing is, if you step on it, it won't hurt your bare feet.

Hi Liz,
ReplyDeleteI love your lego card it's so colourful and what a brilliant idea on how to make one.
Such a very clever idea not thought of that one myself.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
The lego bricks look great Liz and I'm sure that the right birthday will be along during the year for you to use it for as Lego is still as popular today as it was when our son was a child. I love the bright colours and the embossed dotty background finishes it beautifully. x
ReplyDeleteLove this - I've made similar cards in the past - a great idea for small boys!
ReplyDeleteLiz, this looks like real Lego! Astunning card.
ReplyDeleteLia xx
This is such a fun card Liz! I love the primary colors you used and of course what kid wouldn't love a Lego card?! Looks so real too, Lego's are a fun toy, but not so fun when you step on one. lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI've made these cards before and they're not for the faint-hearted! Beautifully designed and made Liz - as ever! What a classic for using snippets!
