This is my second post today. Please scroll down to see my Allsorts DT post.
The June Crafty Calendar Challenge begins today with the theme 'Summer Time'. Our generous sponsor this month is Lili of the Valley.
Our sponsor kindly gave the DT digi stamps to use and I chose to use To the Top.. Going hill walking on a glorious summer's day is a lovely activity. I coloured this image with Promarkers and layered the image on a grey mat. The patterned paper was snippets from a Trimcraft 'Sail Away' paper pad and the pattern is slightly embossed which gives it a lovely texture. I hand cut the banners. The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Best Year' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne'.
The Crafty Calendar Challenge ends on 28th June and th randomly chosen winner will win a lovely prize from LOTV.
The DT will chose their Top 3 and they have created some wonderful cards for inspiration, which you can see on the Crafty Calendar Challenge blog.
I am joining in the following challenges:

It's a fabulous image and beautifully coloured. A very clever layout too, the staggered banners lead the eye upwards in the direction he's walking, brilliant!

This is a cute LOTV digi image Liz and the pebble paper goes brilliantly and love the design using the different length fishtail banners, and perfect for the theme. A lovely country walk is great in the summer, but not so sure about too much trudging up hill these days though...lol. x

ReplyDeleteWhat a great card Liz - I haven't seen that LOTV image before - it's adorable! And so clever of you to use the cobblestone backing to pick up the stones in the image - it's the little details that make all the difference.
