The Allsorts Challenge begins today and Lolo has chosen the theme of 'Delightful Animals'. It would be lovely to see all your beautiful animal creation, but there is also the optional theme of 'Anything Goes'. A crafty friend has her birthday this week and as she is a dog lover and I know she likes CAS cards, this is what I came up with.
I got the inspiration for my card design from Sarn's blog HERE. I die cut the sentiment in red and blue and used one word from each colour. The dog is a Stampin' Up punch I bought ages ago when it was in a sale and I used it for the first time on this card. I layered the dog on Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' die cuts. The little red hearts were the waste left over from a die used in a previous project.
Prizes are from AALL and Create

As I had two words left over, I decided to make a second card.
This time a made a flower using dies from the Creative Expressions 'Daisy Blossoms' set of dies. The white layers were made with dies from the Craftwork Cards 'Circle Window Nesting Dies' and Memory Box ' 'Stitched Scalloped Circles'. Everything on both cards was from my snippets drawer, except for the card blanks.

Two great cards and making the sentiment in contrasting colours is a brilliant idea - two cards as a result as well which has to be a bonus 😉
ReplyDeleteUsing two colours for the sentiment was Sarn’s idea. 😉 xx
DeletePerfect for our theme and your friend Liz.

ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards. Wonderful colors and layering. I am especially impressed with the dog card. It is inspiring me to pull out that die cut for a few more pet donation cards.
ReplyDeleteLove the doggy card Liz, the punch looks like a Labrador pup, fabulous clean and crisp design, it's very striking.

Liz they are both beautiful. I love the colourful wording, it really makes the cards pop!
ReplyDeleteTwo great quite CAS cards featuring circles Liz and so crisp and clean looking in the red, blue and white, except for the sweet brown dog silhouette on the first, and love the added hearts, and the second with the more ornate layered look with the scallops and reverse scallops with the pretty cross stitch design, and the central flower finishes it beautifully. x
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards Liz, I particularly love the first one with the little hearts above your cute die cut dog xx
ReplyDeleteLove the bright blue and red on white on both cards! Think you are so good in let it look like CAS and still ad layers! Enjoy the weekend!
