Allsorts Challenge ~ Birthday

A new Allsorts Challenge begins today and Donna has chosen the theme 'Birthdays', so a nice easy theme, although there is always the Anything Goes option.  I've  made a Hexagonal Floating Card after watching Paul Ford's video HERE.

The patterned papers are from The Range.  I die cut a Sue Wilson 'Majestic Monarch' butterfly.  I attached the butterfly to the clear acetate panel down the front of the card.  This is the element which makes the butterfly appear to be floating.

There are two stamp sets each for two lucky randomly drawn winners.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  3. This hexagonal floating card is such a clever and elegant take on the birthday theme. The butterfly truly looks like it's suspended mid-flight—so magical against the soft patterned papers. I love how the acetate adds dimension without distracting from the delicate details. A beautiful blend of technique and whimsy!
