It was my great nephew's 17th birthday last week and this is the card I made for him. He lives very near the coast, you can almost see the sea from his house, so I decided to have a sea theme. I saw a card on Facebook using a similar style of fold but there were instructions, so I worked out some measurements and this is what I came up with.
The patterned paper was from a 12 x 12 paper pad from The Works. I had some snippets from a previous project, so I used these before cutting into a new sheet. I used a snippet of white card, cut into a square and embossed with a Sheena Douglass 'Water Ripples' embossing folder. The yacht is a Poppystamps 'Marina Sailboats' die cut, cut from another snippet. I used two Sizzix dies to die cut the sentiment and mat.
The card folds flat for posting.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
I made a matching money gift wallet....
.....using the same patterned paper I used on the card on the inside of the wallet.
