Football Fan

A birthday card for my niece's hubby.  It makes a change to make a football themed card in red, rather than the blue and white football cards I usually make.  He supports a football team across the other side of the city, so it had to be a red card this time. 😉

The image is a Sweet Dixie 'Football and Boot' die.  I used the die with black card for the outline and inlaid all the spaces in the ball and the boot.  The image is layered on Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' die cuts.  The patterned paper is from Anna Marie Designs, layered on a black mat.  Six small punched stars finished off my card.

Chess

Thank you for all the kind messages left on my last post.  My daughter is making a good recovery after her emergency open heart surgery.

A masculine card today for a chess player.
The image and big sentiment are stamps from the Stampin' Up 'Game On' set, stamped on a cream, stitched square die cut and layer on a black mat.  I used a Promarker to colour two of the chess pieces.   For the background I used one of the Stampin' Up 'Best Plaid Builder Dies'.  The dies come as a set of two to make plaid designs, but I used just one as I wanted to make the effect of a chess board.  The stamps and die are both recent purchases, so I'll be sharing my card over in the NBUS challenge.

Anniversary Card

The past ten days have been the hardest of my life as a parent, so emotionally exhausting.   However old your children are, there are times when you would change places with them in a heartbeat if you could.

I made this card for friends who celebrated their wedding anniversary recently.

The patterned papers were snippets left over from the card I made HERE, so I'll be sharing card over in The Playground.  I used the same sketch as I used for my card HERE.  I used a Memory Box 'Postage Square Layers' die with snippets of white card.  The large hearts and sentiment are punched.

Have a WHALE of a time!

The August Crafty Calender Challege begins today with the theme 'Anything Goes'.  Our generous sponsor this month is Polkadoodles

Our sponsor kindly provided the DT with digi images to use and I chose to use the Whale digi stamp.  I coloured the image with Promarkers, before adding a wave die cut from the Poppystamps 'Marina Sailboats' set of dies.  The image was then die cut with a Memory Box 'Stitched Square Labels' die and layered on a grey, stitched die cut square, which was raised up on foam pads.  For the background I used a Sheena Douglass 'Water Ripple' embossing folder.  Three blue gems finished off my card.

Please pop over to the Craft Calendar Challenge to see all the beautiful creations the DT have made.

There will be a prize of three digi stamps for the randomly chosen winner from Polkadoodle and the DT will choose a Top 3.
