Allsorts Challenge ~ Food and/or Drink

A new Allsorts Challenge begins today and Gail has chosen the theme of 'Food and/or Drink'.  I've made a Tri Panel Z Fold card for my DT card.

A friend gave me a part used paper pad a while ago which she no longer wanted, so I used two sheets on this card.  The background paper had pictures of cocktail on, so I kept this theme for my card.  The image is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Sip, Sip Hooray' set, stamped with Versafine 'Morning Mist' and coloured with 'Ivory' and 'Pumpkin' Promarkers.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Best Year' set.   I added three orange sequins to finish off my card.

The Allsorts prizes this week are two Card-io stamp sets.

Eclipse Sunflower Card

Just wondering how often other bloggers check their Spam Comments folder.  I check mine most days and there is often several genuine comments sitting there.  Blogger randomly seems to mark some comments from followers as spam.

It was my birthday on Monday and we've been away to Hay-on-Wye for a few days.  No time for cardmaking this week, so I'm sharing a card a made for a special friend who celebrated her birthday a couple weeks ago.

The patterned paper is from The Range. I die cut the Happy Birthday from the middle of the patterned paper and again three times from yellow card. The die was a pre-loved one I bought, which might be a Lawn Fawn die.  I layered the patterned paper over a yellow mat, before layering all the die cut sentiments together and replacing them in the space on the card.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Christmas

Brenda has chosen the theme of 'Christmas' for this week's Allsorts Challenge.  This CAS card took longer to photograph than it took to make, as I had trouble getting the embossed lines to show.  In the end I waited for a sunny day and took a photo in the garden.

I started by blending Adirondack 'Red Pepper', 'Sunset Orange' and 'Sunshine Yellow' on a scrap of white card.  Then I stamped the Lavinia 'Three Kings' stamp over the top using Versafine Clair 'Nocturne' before trimming into a rectangle.  (This stamp is being discontinued, so you'll need to be quick to order one if you want to add it to your collection.) I layered the image on a black mat and stamped the sentiment from the Lavinia 'Seasonal Words' set of stamps in black.  The card looked a little too plain, so I used my scoreboard to score double lines all around the edges.

There are 2 prizes this week, Lavinia Stamps and stencil.  Please note, we (Lavinia) cannot provide exchanges/replacements/refunds for any products received through this third-party giveaway.

Triptych Card

A birthday card for a friend using her favourite colours.

I used a Studio Light triptych die for my base, I have Di to thank for enabling me to buy this die.  The patterned paper was snippets from a 12” x 12” paper pad from The Works. More snippets were used for the flowers and butterfly, using   Memory Box 'Pippi' and 'Isabella' and 'Gilia Stems' dies.  The sentiment was typed on the computer.
