Brenda has chosen the theme of 'Christmas' for this week's Allsorts Challenge. This CAS card took longer to photograph than it took to make, as I had trouble getting the embossed lines to show. In the end I waited for a sunny day and took a photo in the garden.
I started by blending Adirondack 'Red Pepper', 'Sunset Orange' and 'Sunshine Yellow' on a scrap of white card. Then I stamped the Lavinia 'Three Kings' stamp over the top using Versafine Clair 'Nocturne' before trimming into a rectangle. (This stamp is being discontinued, so you'll need to be quick to order one if you want to add it to your collection.) I layered the image on a black mat and stamped the sentiment from the Lavinia 'Seasonal Words' set of stamps in black. The card looked a little too plain, so I used my scoreboard to score double lines all around the edges.
There are 2 prizes this week, Lavinia Stamps and stencil. Please note, we (Lavinia) cannot provide exchanges/replacements/refunds for any products received through this third-party giveaway.

Amazing card. Love the image and the colours.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card, love the stamped image over the inky background and the embossed lines. We have windows each end of our living room and you wouldn't believe how the light changes the colour on cards-drives me mad lol. Thank you for joining us at Stamping Sensations.
