Frosty the Snowman

I was passing a garden centre yesterday which I knew had a craft section.  As I can't resist a browse in a craft shop, I went in and saw a Woodware Snowman stamp which I thought might be easier to paper piece than the first one I tried this week.
I first stamped the image on the blue card. I remembered to use Post-It notes to mask off the parts of the white card and patterned paper that I didn't want stamped, leaving just a small area big enough for the part of the stamp I needed.  That way I didn't waste any of the patterned paper.  I didn't think to do that last time! The patterned papers were snippets of a Dovecraft Christmas paper stack.  I used a Tonic snowflake die for the three snowflakes at the bottom.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. What a fab little snowman. Don't think I would have been able to leave him on the shelf. Just spent 15mins hanging out the washing only to have to rush back out and get it in again. Typical British weather! Hugs Mrs A.

  3. Oh he's absolutely gorgeous Liz - and super paper piecing. It took me a while to think of masking off patterned paper to avoid waste too :)

Don't brag about the washing kid, the water is on and off here so often I can't do any of those things right now. No washing, no ironing though - tee, hee :)

    1. Lucky you with no ironing, Di. I'm just taking a short break from the pile of ironing that was so high it was about to topple over! LOL! xx

  6. Adorable! How fascinating that your garden centers have a craft section. I'd always be needing something for the yard (not really! a good excuse to buy craft items!!! LOL). Love this cute little snowman and those pretty papers. Good for you at thinking of masking off first. TFS & Hugs
