Owl Flip-It Card

Welcome to my new follower, Jools of julieanne's cabin. Please pop over to her blog to see all her lovely creations.

The sun has come out today...for the first time this week, so today's card is a Flip-It birthday card with a summery feel. I've taken several photos from different angles, it's not the easiest card to photograph!
The first photo shows the card closed and the following three show the card open from different angles.

I used a Sizzix 'Circle Flip-It' die for the base card and the patterned paper is from an old Papermania paper pad.  The owl is made using a Stampin' Up owl punch, one of my favourite punches.  The tiny punched sunflowers are attached to the foliage, which was punched using a Martha Stewart 'Vine Trim Double Deep Edge Punch'.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  14. What a nifty cutie of a swinging owl! Love the bold color on the skinny stripe paper, and it's a pretty look for a swing card. I have a couple of these dies, but outside of class, not made a single one as yet! Also I liked very much those bright sunflowers on the border that pulls the eye right over to those fancy scallops on the edge. TFS & Happy wkend.
