Welcome to my new follower, Diane of Diane's Rambles. Pop over to her blog to see her lovely creations.
This card is for my four and seven year old great-nieces. They gave me and my hubby some lovely Christmas presents and this card is to say 'thank you'. If children are expected to write thank you notes, I think it is only right that they receive them too. :-)

Both the girls have pet rabbits, so my new Woodware 'Happy Bunny' stamp seemed perfect. The stamp seemed ideal for paper piecing, so I stamped it first on the card blank, then onto a snippet of patterned paper, then stamped the ears onto a snippet of brown card. I used the same paper and card for the sentiment, punching out a paw print in the top layer. The tail was covered with a white Wink of Stella pen to add a bit of sparkle.
I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

This is just adorable with that cute bunny, and I agree - children should write and receive thank-you notes, because in this day and age of cellphones, they're not always taught to write thank-you cards!
ReplyDeletelove how you punched out the paw and fab paper piecing. Thanks for joining Ink
ReplyDeleteAww . . . cute! Your nieces will love to receive their own post too!

You are in right, it's a good thing giving thank you cards to the children, expecially if they have to write their thank you notes! Very good spirit of education! :)

ReplyDeleteLiz, I think you were wonderful to remember to do the same kind of thank you to the little ones as would have been done to an adult. Teaches them something very nice, I should think. This is just adorable, and it was so thoughtful to select an image that would be dear to their hearts! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteReally adorable card Liz! Once again, you found something unusual to play with - sits on hands very firmly here though!
