A birthday card for a friend's 60th birthday next week.
With the recipient in mind, I wanted to make a CAS, black and white card and as she loves gardening include flowers. This Sue Wilson 'Snowdrop Edger' die was originally given to a crafty friend for Christmas. When I discovered it was a duplicate gift, I gave her something else instead and she returned the die to me. (We always agree to say if presents we give each other are duplicates.) So, this became a Christmas present to myself! 😊 I used the die on edge of the front of a 6" x 6" card blank. I attached a black 6" x 6" piece of card behind the die cut edge. A computer generated sentiment and three white pearls finished off my card.
I am joining in the following challenges:

ReplyDeleteWe did think alike, Liz! I love your off-the-edge snowdrop card in black and white! Very pretty! Did your friend happen to make a card with this design? I swear I just recently saw this die used in this way, so either I dreamed it or I'm crazy, lol! Hugs, Darnell

ReplyDeleteHi Liz, so sorry I missed you and Ruth yesterday - I would have said hello. No, that wasn't me at the stained glass workshop - must have been a doppelganger! We arrived about 11:30 and left around 2pm .. for a fabulous lunch at the Elgar Inn - if you go again, it's worth a try
ReplyDeleteKathyk
Doppelgänger? I had to google that term! LOL! We got there just after 10 and left around 4. Thanks for the tip about the Elgar Inn. I'm sure Ruth and I will go again. Always looking for recommended places to eat. 😉 xx
