Today's card uses a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Butterfly Gala' set, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with a red Promarker. The body of the butterfly is from a Memory Box butterfly die cut. The sentiment is a stamp from the same set. I used two Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' dies for matting and layering. The background is embossed with Sizzix embossing folder, the embossed card inked with a brayer and black ink and layered on a black mat. I love using this embossing folder because the embossed card so easy to ink with a brayer to make my own background. I used snippets for everything, except the card blank, so I'll be sharing my card over in the Playground.
I am joining in the following challenges:
I had a spare piece of the same white embossed card and a spare little butterfly, so I made a second card and this time brayered on the reverse side to get a totally different effect.
A striking card and great for the Snippets challenge. Should say cards, plural because they are both super. Great use of that embossing folder giving two very different looks

ReplyDeleteI inked the embossed card with the brayer and not the folder Alice, so no messy folder to clean. 😉 xx

Much easier to ink the embossed card with the brayer, rather the the folder, Chris. I could get a much more even covering with the ink this way. xx
