Finding my mojo!

My crafting mojo disappeared over the last week.... I mean it went completely AWOL!  I couldn't seem to get motivated and it was easier to veg out in front of the television for a couple of days after Christmas, watching films.  I think the restrictions because of Covid probably had something to do with it, as well as the cold and wet weather.  Yesterday I decided to try and find my mojo.  The Bugaboo seven day 'Holiday Chaos' challenge ends in a couple of days.  I joined in the first three challenges, so yesterday I was determined to make four cards to complete all seven challenges.

My first card is for the fourth Bugaboo challenge, a Bingo challenge.
The image is a Bugaboo one, coloured with Promarkers and sparkle added with a Wink of Stella glitter brush over the snowman and the snow.  I used a Memory Box 'Scalloped Stitched Circle' die for the mat and added tiny white pearls all the way round.  I raised the mat up on foam pads.  The embossing folder I used was Sue Wilson's  'Frosted Stripes'.

This photo shows the sparkle clearer.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

My second card uses another Bugaboo image, coloured with Promarkers.  The patterned paper is from an old Trimcraft paper pad, which I think came as the free gift with a magazine.  I raised the image up with foam pads and added a Card Candi in the corner for some added detail.  The three snowflakes are Memory box 'Twilight Snowflakes' die cuts.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

I love this Bugaboo image, it always makes me smile!  Again I coloured it with Promarkers.  I used a Presscut die to make the centre stepper card base.  After attaching the red panels, I added some white and silver Card Candi and a sentiment.  The Bugaboo challenge this time is a photo challenge and I took my inspiration from the reindeer and the colours in the photo.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

....and finally my fourth card.  Another Bugaboo image coloured with Promarkers.  Day 7 is a colour challenge.  When I saw all the stripes of colours for the challenge, I thought they would make a great background used as stripes.  I found all the colours I needed in my snippets drawer.  I cut them all the same width and layered them over a rectangle of card.  The stripy card was put through my Big Shot with a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, before trimming it down to fit the card base and adding the image.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #581 ~ Christmas the Last Stretch
Little Red Wagon Challenge #581 ~ Merry Christmas!

So, if you've managed to stick with me through this LONG post, I wish you a Happy, Healthy and Creative 2021.  I hope next year will be a better year for us all.

  1. My mojo left with yours but hasn't come back yet! When yours popped back in, it came with all kinds of ideas and these cards are awesome. I love them all but especially the second one about the post office. That is a hoot! Happiest of new years to you too, Liz.

  5. Wow you certainly found your mojo again. What a wonderful series of cards. I like the card candi you used - I think I have some I got with a magazine which I should really use! I also like how you pulled the colours together in Day seven as stripes - clever idea.
The Snoopy cartoon is so appropriate now. Love it.
Wishing you a Happy New Year.

  8. Four beautiful cards using Bugaboo images Liz and I would say your mojo has definitely returned. I love the sparkly snowman, and then the fun image and sentiment on the second, and then the pretty stepper shape with a fun Rudolph image, and lastly the sweet image with the beautiful stripes of coloured card in the background which you have then embossed with the snowflakes which looks so pretty, and all with super colouring. x

  27. What a "mojoful" array of cards you shared! I especially love the one about mailing packages early so the post office can lose them. They "claim" to have delivered a pkg to me yesterday but they never did. Someone else most likely got a surprise package instead! Happy New Year to you and yours - hopefully it's better for all of us!
