Rudolph Pillow Boxes

It's become the traditon over the last few years for me to make little chocolate treat boxes to put on the table on Christmas Day.  Although it won't be the same this year and most of the boxes will be left on the doorsteps for family members to enjoy in their own homes on Christmas Day, I wanted to keep up the tradition of making them.  This year I decided to make pillow boxes and I got the idea for the reindeer on Pinterest.

I used a Sizzix pillow box die with green card and embossed it with a Cuttlebug holly embossing folder.  Everything else was made with snippets.  I used circle and oval punches for the face and nose.  The white of the eyes was the waste from a Memory Box die cut and I added tiny black peeloffs for the pupils.  The antlers were a punched with a Stampin' Up 'Sprig Punch', but were perfect for antlers.  I cut a banner with a die from the Sue Wilson 'Stitched Flag' set and added a sentiment punched with another SU punch.

I had twelve to make and they are all now  filled with chocolates.

  1. Thanks for the compliment on my mixology skills with the Pina Coladas! Glad you enjoyed them. Hope that blue paint comes off soon! LOL!

These little festive packages are such fun and a great way to use up snippets.

    Have a good one.

  2. Like you I normally make small gift boxes for the table Christmas day. I love the pillow boxes you've made and the beautiful Rudolphs that you've popped onto the fronts. I'll have to store this ides for another year.

  3. These are super and I love how you've made the reindeer. Makes me think I should look out for a pillow box die - as if I don't already have too many dies...stamps et al. Certainly no lack of equipment or raw materials here to keep my mind off all the problems at least for part of the time.

  23. Pillow boxes uk have an unusual shape but they are fantastic for packaging small gifts like jewelry, watches or key chains. As they appear to be different so, they are great to keep your things safe because of its size and its mobility. Nowadays, they are a popular choice for packing gifts.
