HAPPY 4TH JULY TO ALL MY AMERICAN VISITORS.
Welcome to my new followers, Sandra and Daniel of SanDryCreaciones. I hope you can stop by my blog again soon.
As it's 4th July, I thought I'd share something red, white and blue today. I was asked a couple of days ago to make some place names for a lunch with five friends. The lunch was to be held outside in a garden, so I needed to weight the place names so they wouldn't blow away. I decided to make mini milk cartons and fill them with chocolates.
As we all play badminton together, I used shuttlecock die cuts from the recently bought Sweet Dixie 'Badminton' set of dies to decorate the boxes. I made the boxes this size so I could get two out of one A4 sheet of blue card and added little silver bulldog clips to the keep the boxes closed. All the red and white card (apart from the printed names) were snippets, so I'll be sharing my little boxes over in The Playground.
I am joining in the following challenges:
What a great idea Liz and your boxes are totally fab! hugs Sue x

ReplyDeleteA fun way to present the place names, bet everyone enjoyed the sweets
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and they look great with the added die cut shuttlecock and so pretty in red, white and blue Liz. I hadn't played badminton properly since my school days and in my mid fifties joined a club. Unfortunately the second week of playing I ruptured my achilles tendon and had an op to stitch it and was then in plaster for three months...a very long job. Needlesstosay I haven't played since as I was worried that the same thing might happen to the other leg..lol. x
ReplyDeleteA great collection of lovely gift cartons, what a great idea.

ReplyDeleteUnbelievable, Liz! These are absolutely darling and the milk carton design is so clever for name cards! I love the shuttlecocks and I'm so jealous of your group getting together to play badminton! I loved playing that as a kid, but our yard is not quite big enough to handle it. Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteDue to Covid, our badminton court is still closed. Hopefully we can get back playing again in September. xx
