Welcome to my two latest followers, Ellie and Barbara. I hope you stop by my blog again soon.
Anyone else still getting genuine comments going into their Blogger spam folder? I get a few most weeks, but today one appeared for the first time written in August 2020!
A friend celebrated a big birthday today and this is the card I made for her. I knew she wouldn't want her age on the card, so I tactfully left it off. 😉
The cross stitching was done on a Marianne Design 'Cross Stitch' die cut and cut into a square with a Memory Box 'Stitched Square Layers' die. The other layers are Lisa Horton's 'Scalloped Layered Squares' die cuts. I die cut a pink strip to go across the bottom with a Memory Box 'Stitched Country Borders' die.
I am joining in the following challenges:
Such a pretty little cross stitched pink tulip Liz and the I love all the added scalloped edge shapes matted and layered over the white card, and love the coordinating green for the computer generated sentiment...a gorgeous card for your friend. x
ReplyDeleteWow, Liz, your card creation is LOVELY. I admire anyone who can hold a needle and make pretty things happen. Your layers and colors are especially sweet from the scallops to the flower.
ReplyDeleteAND YES, Like you, I have been suddenly getting legitimate comments going into the spam folder - and not only the blogger spam "folder", but in my GMAIL spam folder! Never had that problem until the last few months.
Back to your card: It's always a pleasure seeing how crafters are inspired by the Mood Board at our challenge. Thank you for sharing your love of all things flowers at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge. I hope to see more of your designs soon.

A really pretty card Liz
ReplyDeleteI occasionally get a genuine comment rock up in my spam folder and, like you, have had a couple just this past few days. Normally it's people advertising damp proofing or cleaning services!
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, fab card and love that it's got a lovingly stitched element to it too, to make it all the more special, I'm sure it will be treasured (not least for the tactful omission of the recipients age!)
Have a great weekend

Yes, still having exactly the same issues Liz, find I have to go through recent comments as some sit there waiting to be OK'd and some go directly into spam. And what's more frustrating that invariably they are regular visitors.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely delicate feminine card and I am certain the omission of the age will be appreciated.

Very pretty and feminine card. You're right not everyone wants their age broadcast to all and sundry, very thoughtful of you 😉. I have to check my spam folder regularly and often find comments from 'regulars' and occasionally some from years ago
ReplyDeleteVery pretty cross stitch Liz...a really fresh spring card. x
ReplyDeleteYour crossed tulip is fantastic!! Way to go shopping your stash!! So glad you played along with our new challenge over at Shopping Our Stash...you rocked our "anything that begins with B" challenge with your "B"loom card!! -Deb Horst, DT. #SOS490

It's beautiful Liz- your cross stitched designs are so perfectly done! I'm sure your tact will be appreciated by the recipient! I do still get the odd comment that goes into spam but not as many as a few weeks ago when it was every other one!

Beautiful in that colour! Love the way you combined the embroderie again! Enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteWOW this is strikingly beautiful . I have never seen a cross stick design die. I love how cross stitch looks but have never been able to enjoy sewing crafts. Your card is simply perfect and yes after a certain age we don't like numbers on our birthday cards or cakes!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so pretty Liz and I love the shades of pink. Yes I am still getting comments in spam, annoying when I forget to check!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card Liz, I'm loving the cross stitch too.

A really pretty card Liz and lovely cross-stitch design.
ReplyDeleteI regularly have comments in my spam folder, it's very annoying as they are people who comment all the time.

That's beautiful Liz, love the pink and white combo xx
ReplyDeleteI love the dies surrounding this gorgeous stitching Liz, so feminine and a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteI get one everyone once in a while, but that is about it Liz. How odd that you get so many and then to get one from 2020! I am having issues, however, with getting my comments to go through. So many times I go to publish my comment and I get the "oops , something is broken" speech. Drives me nuts! I don't think Blogger is working right all the way around! LOL Your card is gorgeous! Love the pretty tulip and the scallop layering. Make your stitching stand out. And of course because I'm a pink kind of gal, I love the pink and white color combo! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLiz, this is such a cute card-especially the cross stitching. I love to stitch and now I need that die! I love the colors too and I know you're friend will love it!
ReplyDeleteOk, thought you really cross-stitched this at first! lol It's so delicate and pretty, hope she loved it! And yes, I've been getting comments on my 2019 posts! I'm too afraid to approve them even tho the commenters look legit. Might be spammers seeking a foothold, who knows? So happy you played with us at Beautiful Blossoms this month and hoping to see you again! XOX, Aimeslee DT
ReplyDeleteI did cross stitch it, Aimeslee. 🤣 I used crochet cotton for the stitching. xx
DeleteOh my, you are so very talented! I should have believed what I first saw, hugs! XOX
DeleteWhat a beautiful card. Love the colors and your wonderful cross-stitching! Thank you for joining us for this challenge at Shopping Our Stash and look forward to seeing you again soon!
