My hubby and I spent last weekend in London. Our daughter bought us tickets to watch England play football (soccer) against Ukraine in Wembley Stadium. (Something I can now cross off my bucket list.) We had a packed weekend, which also included watching the Jersey Boys Musical and Agatha Christie's 'Witness for the Prosecution' play, an eight mile walk along the Thames Path and a Beatles Magical Mystery walking tour, where we ending walking across the Abbey Road zebra crossing. We didn't plan for the six hours in the minor injuries/A & E at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on the last day, but at least we still managed to catch the coach home in the evening.
I watched a video on Nifty Noodles Crafting Facebook page today demonstrating this Staggered Front Card. The video I watched had five separate horizonal white panels on the front, but I decided to make the front of the card in one piece.
The papers are from a paper pad from The Works. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up 'Greatest Part of Christmas' stamp set, stamped with Versafine Clair ' Twilight'.
I am joining in the following challenges:
Wembley Stadium ~ 26th March 2023
Apart from your trip to A&E it sounds like a fantastic weekend, hope the injured party is recovering well. A brilliant layout, keeping the beautiful winter scene the focal point on the staggered front.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job Liz and inspirational! Thank you for joining the Holly and Ivy Challenge. Anita DT
ReplyDeleteLucky you going to Wembley Liz, we though the visit of the Ukrainian's was handled with great dignity and respect. An interesting fold today, looks very effective.

The build-up before the game was quite emotional. 1000 tickets were given to Ukrainian refugees and their families and they were sat in a block. There were also many other Ukrainians scattered around the rest of the ground with no need for segregation. xx
DeleteYou've discovered yet another interesting card design and it sounds as if you enjoyed your action packed visit to London.
ReplyDeleteWow Liz- that was an action packed weekend! You left nothing out...even an extra trip to A&E! Hope the injury wasn't too serious!!!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful- the deceptively simple design is so effective.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had an exciting and action packed weekend in London Liz, and hope all is well after the A & E visit. I love the style of your pretty seasonal make with the beautiful scene cut into strips on the shaped front, and the complementary snowfall paper looks great on the inside of the card, x
ReplyDeleteAnother interesting folding, so impressive with that scene!
ReplyDeleteHi Liz,
ReplyDeleteHappy Rudolf Days.
I love this shaped card and the papers used it looks very wonderful.
Great colours and what a fab sentiment too.
Sounds like a great weekend except the hospital visit.
We used to joke about my late sister as every time she went away it always included a hospital visit or stay.
So we used to say she wanted to see all the hospitals around the world just a little family joke.
I guess she was just unlucky like that with her health love her.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L DT
What a wonderful gift & sounds like you had a great time, except for the medical part! Absolutely love your card & I like that you made the front 1 piece!

ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
Wow, that was one busy weekend Liz! I'm not sure how you and hubby did all that, but I sure didn't like reading that you guys spent time at the A & E, which I'm assuming is either the emergency room at the hospital or like a express care clinic. I sure hope all is fine now! Your card is amazing, never saw this technique before, but I am really loving it. I also love how generous your daughter was to you and hubby. The game looked like lots of fun and I thank you for sharing the video with us. Hugs, Brenda
