A floral card to share today.
I recently bought a preloved Lisa Horton 'Large Framed Modern Tulip' die and it had its first outing for this card. I have a pack of matt silver card blanks, which I've had forever and couldn't decide what to do with them. I used the front of one to die cut the frame. The die was used again with snippets of pink and green card and I inlaid all the little pieces. A few pink pearls finished off my card. I decided not to add a sentiment on the front, mainly because I wasn't sure where to put it, so the sentiment will go inside.
I am joining in the following challenges:
Such pretty stylised tulips Liz and the colours are great and all the infilling works beautifully..a super way to use up all those bits of card too. x
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, such a pretty colourful one too, love that paper piecing x

Beautiful card. Well done Liz.
ReplyDeleteWell it’s a lovely die which has made a super card. Completely agree with putting the sentiment inside as it would detract from the overall effect of the die otherwise!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you on the swings! X
Beautifully done Liz
ReplyDeleteThat die was a lucky find and is good for paper piecing - sometimes the words just have to go inside a card rather than detract from the overall look.
ReplyDeleteThis pre-loved die fell into the right hands because you made a great card with it. I love the colors with those tiny pink pearls. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully soft and I like the graphic flower! Enjoy your sunday!
ReplyDeleteOoh, pretty - nice job with the paper piecing
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend

It's a beauty, Liz! I like your colour choices as well! Wishing you a pleasant day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty die! Unusual and so beautiful. Love that you inlaid all the pieces - lots of patience and it paid off. I think a sentiment on the inside is a great idea too. Love your card.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty paper-pieced card, Liz! The pink and silver work beautifully together and you're right not to have added a sediment. It would have broken up the pleasing-to-the-eye design! Thank you so much for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell (Sorry to be so late. Just getting back to Blogland after all our company and traveling ... feels good to be home!)
