Thinking of You

I made this card for a good friend whose husband tragically died suddenly this week.  He spent so much of his time volunteering to help others, left this world far too young and will be missed by so many people.

I used my favourite flower die, Memory Box 'Prim Poppies'.  The background panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder.  Three lilac pearls finished off my card.

I used snippets for this card, so will be sharing this card over in The Playground.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  6. Always so sad when someone dies suddenly. Sorry to hear you needed a sympathy card, but this hits just the right note Liz.

Thanks for entering a piece of homework to the Snippets Playground (and for sharing a picture of your snippets). See you up in the treehouse for a soothing mug of hot chocolate later - I'll add a nip of something to it for the shock. xxx

  8. This is a great die cut. It has been years since I have used it. I recently got many of my die cuts organized and now I can find this one quickly. I need to pull it out and play with it again.

  16. A lovely card Liz for such a sad reason. That 'Prim Poppy' die is just timeless - I actually recently bought one as part of a future prize!

Initially I did wonder your card was for Zoe (Young-Kirby) before I read further. I have a feeling you met up with Zoe at a Bristol Rovers match once some while ago. Her lovely son, Keagan, aged just 25, was killed the weekend before last during a horse race in Kent. Right now we seem to be surrounded by tragedies.

    Hugs

    Di xx

    1. It was so sad to hear about Keagan. Zoe and I have been friends on Facebook for some years and met up at the Rovers ground. I’ve been following Zoe’s posts about Keagan following his dream to become a jockey. It was such devastating news to hear that he had been killed in a tragic accident. xx
