Christmas Sparkle

I had an odd strip of black glitter left over from a previous card, so I thought I'd use it to make a couple of Christmas cards.
I've used both the Memory Box 'Merry Christmas' die and the Die-namics 'Peek-a-boo Stars' die on other cards recently, but never the two dies together, so thought I'd try and use them on the same card.   My first attempt was fine, until I realised that the star cutouts were upside-down, so this is card two!   I hadn't actually noticed until I punched out a star for the top and then it looked really obvious.  I'll have to do a bit of creative cutting with the first card and reassemble it in a different design, so I don't waste it! The sparkle looks much better IRL, but I think it just about shows up in the photo.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. Lovely design and colours,just

  2. Very classic and very elegant. I wouldn't have spotted the upside downness. Hugs Mrs A.

    1. When I added the large punched star to the first card, it was so noticeable that the little stars had the middle points facing downwards. I'm sure if I send it to someone as it is, they probably wouldn't even notice. LOL! x

  3. Beautiful elegant card design Liz..

  4. Very elegant card Liz, I like the way you combined the two dies and the black glitter card lovely.

  5. The combinationof the two dies is lovely. Great card, Liz!

  6. Super use of the leftovers, it's a very elegant card.

    Love and hugs

  7. This beautiful card reminds me that I have this die and it's way under used!

  8. I love these two dies together. They made a gorgeous card combined and the black star pulls it all together. It's a happy card!

  9. Wow Liz - what a stunner! I see what you mean about the stars :) You'd have had to stand the big one on it's point, which would have looked very odd.

Sorry I'm a bit late calling by, not supposed to be peering at laptop really but wanted to just check that the Playground hasn't been overrun by naughty elves!!

    Di xx

  10. Wow wow wow!!! This is a winner, Liz! Fabulous design. So striking in the bold black and white. FABULOUS!!!!
