A second card today. Friends are celebrating their wedding anniversary later this month, so I thought I'd make their card today and sneak in a last minute entry for The Craft Barn Challenge. The Dies R Us challenge is 'Anniversary', so I'll be entering that challenge too.
I die cut a panel on the right hand side of a card blank with a Poppystamps 'Side Lattice' die and adhered a strip of acetate behind it. Punched red hearts and white pearl hearts were added to the lattice panel. The patterned paper is from a DoCrafts paper stack and I added a thin strip of black glitter card to give a bit of sparkle.
This photo shows the card open. I used snippets for the black glitter strip and the hearts, so I'll be off to share my in the Playground
I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:
Absolutely beautiful, a really lovely card

Wow,this is stunning Liz. Love the colours and all those hearts. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteLoving the acetate side panel and the die cutting. Always a winning combination of colours x
ReplyDeleteOoh, you are good at this die cutting. The side panel is fab. Well done on getting a second entry done.
ReplyDeleteThis is also a brilliant card, I am loving the colour theme and also love that heart die.

What a beautiful card for an anniversary Liz. I love the panel and the little pearl hearts look very pretty. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteA lovely anniversary card Liz. The die cut panel is pretty with the added hearts.

This lattice is a beautiful die (and I keep putting it in my cart, then I've spent too much, and take it back out!). Looks like it will be a very versatile one as well. It's wonderful with the way you've used it on this card. Love the tiny hearts panel with this red lattice, and of course the pretty jewels trimming the lattice. Adding the thin black glitter strip really made both panels stand out so well. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteThe acetate behind the side lattice die cut makes this extra unique and special. Adding the hearts along with the hearts on the paper creates a great design. Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Dies R Us Anniversary Challenge.

Totally fabulous Liz - you really do come up with some cracking cards! What a beautiful die and you used it perfectly by adding the acetate and then the hearts.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe that two different folk have been in touch to send me another one of the Poppystamps dies - the lady from FB and also Dave himself. So, once they were on the case it seems they do take things seriously. Once the new die arrives I'll do an update on my blog putting things right - seems only fair, but will wait until then :)
Hugs

Glad you got things sorted in the end. I had a problem with a set of Memory Box dies a while ago, one die was missing and one was duplicated. They sorted it out fairly quickly, so I had my fingers crossed for you as I think they are the same company. xx
DeleteYes Liz. Poppy Stamps came after MB, same company though. They just weren't on top of their mail boxes. xx
DeleteWOW this is so cool Liz ... awesome design! Thanks so much for playing in our ‘ANNIVERSARY’ challenge at Dies R Us! Please come back again soon!
