I've just got back from a couple of VERY hot and sunny days in our caravan in Devon. We were on our way down when I had a call from my daughter to say she was in her local Minor Injuries Unit after falling over her own feet! We made a slight detour, called in the MIU and collected her.........and her broken arm! She came down with us to the caravan for a bit if TLC.
Two cards today, with the same design but in different colours. Both cards have been received now, so I can post them on my blog.

Two cards today, with the same design but in different colours. Both cards have been received now, so I can post them on my blog.
The first card was for friends celebrating their ruby anniversary. For the main heart I used Spellbinders Shapeabilities 'Lace Hearts' dies, in rich red pearlised card. I added a small punched heart in the aperture. All these were raised up on foam pads. The embossing on the left was done with an Xcut 'Small Polka Hearts' folder. To cover the join, I made a scalloped panel with a MB 'Stitched Country Border' and used the waste from a MB 'Heart of Hearts' to add hearts down the panel. I used a left over snippets of the red card with the Heart of Hearts die to add three tiny red hearts at the top. I die cut the computer generated sentiment with a Sizzix 'Stitched Rectangle' die, matted and layered with red pearlised card and attached with foam pads.
The second card was for my brother and sister-in-law who are celebrating their 45th Anniversary. As this anniversary is Sapphire, I used blue pearlised card.

We were, Pam! xx
DeleteTwo fabulous cards Liz and I love the pearlised card in that pretty red and blue for the two different anniversaries. The border with the added hearts sits very prettily over the hearts embossing and covers the join perfectly and the SB Lacy Hearts die is stunning. Glad you had a good break at your caravan and I'm sure your daughter was glad of some recuperation time after breaking her arm. x
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic anniversary cards, and I love that you coordinated the appropriate colors to their anniversaries. Very clever! Sorry, I have no idea who made the window die on my card, it was an unbranded die.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol. Think I might need to check out unbranded dies on ebay. xx
DeleteTwo beautiful cards. Love those hearts.
ReplyDeleteStunning cards, Liz! I love them!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Liz! Coo, I bet it was hot in the caravan - like an oven all day here, sigh. I do hope your daughter's arm heals well.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I did a little bit of detective work and there is a die like the one Carol used - made by MFT (out of stock at Seven Hills right now). Here's the link - https://sevenhillscrafts.co.uk/blueprints27-dies.html But those unbranded ones from China are getting rave reviews right now! The MFT one is par of a big set.
Hugs
Di xx
Thanks for the link to your detective work. 😀 I'll check it out.
DeleteYou're right, it was extremely hot in the caravan, even with all the windows open. Just glad that one of the passing seagulls didn't make a direct hit through one of the roof windows! 😳 xx
Hi Di, I've managed to find an unbranded window die on eBay for £2.25, so I won't need to buy the whole set. 😀 Just have to wait about 6 weeks for it to get here! LOL!
DeleteVery beautiful cards Liz, both colourways are stunning.
ReplyDeleteReally hoping that the forecast cooler weather comes along soon, I'm typing this at 3am because it's too hot to sleep

Hi Liz, two gorgeous cards, love how well you got the ink colours to match the papers you used. I bet your Brother and his wife and your friends appreciated their special cards. Have a wonderful week... Megan
ReplyDeleteFabulous anniversary cards Liz, I particularly love the heart die you have used, not one I have seen before.
ReplyDeleteJanice x
Like the design best in blue, but that is my favorite colour :)
ReplyDeleteThat is bad luck to fall and brake an arm...
Here it is hot too the last days and will be today...hopefully tomorrow back to 26 degrees...pff.. Hugs, Gerrina
I love the design of these two cards Liz, they will adapt to so many different anniversary's too.

Two fabulous anniversary cards, love how crisp they look using the anniversary colours. Your poor daughter, I hope she recovers quickly and that it's not too painful for her. Sorry you boiled in the caravan, it's the only downside that there's nowhere for the heat to escape to, but I love hearing the rain on the roof, brings back happy memories! My parents are off in their caravan today, think they're heading to somewhere in Wales, no doubt it'll be a very soggy trip for them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Liz
ReplyDeleteThese are both so gorgeous!! I love the designs of each one!! I hope your daughter is feeling much better!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards .. .. real keepsakes for the recipients .. .. they must be thrilled with them.
Pleased you managed a little "get away" but what a shame about your daughter, hopefully she will mend quickly. I bet she enjoyed being with you though.. .. and getting lots of TLC.
Enjoy today.
Love Jules xx
