It's the 25th of the month, the first day of the Rudolph Days June Challenge, which runs until the end of the month. Can you believe we are exactly six months away from Christmas Day!!
I don't use glitter card very often on my cards, but this glitter card is really lovely and the glitter doesn't come off, not one single speck. The extra bonus is that I bought it in a pound store - 10 A4 sheets for just £1, two sheets of five different colours. I die cut a navy piece of card with a Sue Wilson 'Starry Night Sky' die which I attached over the silver glitter card. I used a snippet of gold glitter card to die cut the moon, which I then inlaid. Santa originally had four reindeer, (Cheery Lynn - Santa's Sleigh and Reindeer die) but I snipped off the two middle ones, before attaching the die cut. If you look carefully, you might be able to see the red nose I gave Rudolph. The sentiment is an old wood mounted stamp, which I stamped using Versafine 'Majestic Blue', before matting and layering with navy and silver glitter card.
I am joining in the following challenges:
Sounds like you had a bargain with the glitter card especially as it doesn't 'shed'. Love the card although I don't like the thought of Christmas being only 6 months away!
ReplyDelete10 sheets of non-shedding glitter card for £1 is a real bargain - pound shops can produce some good stuff if you are lucky when you go in. You've made a really lovely card with is

ReplyDeleteThis starry sky is so beautiful along with the golden moon. Santa is on his way and Rudolph is doing great. Thank you for the tip about tape. I never thought of doing that and it would have made my life so much easier. I'm going to do that card again using tape. Now I just have to get the leaves on straight!

That glitter card was a fabulous price. It is over three dollars each 12x12 sheet, over here. When I see it on sale, I try to buy ahead. Recently found a wack of it at Joanne's (in the States) and it was 50 cent or less for 12x12's. I bought every one...
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely. I think the stars reveal the glitter paper in such a wonderful manner...must look fabulous IRL.
The wee die cut is great and yes, I do see the red nose on Rudolph...perfect for the Rudolph Days Challenge!
Thanks for taking part this month!
Thanks for entering both of my CHNC challenges with your lovely crafting - hope to see you again soon. x
