Welcome to my new follower, Andrea of KandA Creative Moments.
The Male Room challenge is a Theme challenge, 'School Colours'. I decided to use my university colours of red, black and white to make a masculine card. At the age of 37 I decided to have a career change and went to university to follow my dream of becoming a teacher. Four years later, after juggling studying with raising a family, I was qualified and worked in a local Infant school until I retired.

The Mini is a Tattered Lace die cut. I used a MB 'Stitched Country Border' die for the red background. Sizzix 'Stitched Oval' and 'Stitched Rectangle' dies were used for matting and layering. Three black Card Candi finished off my card.
I am joining in the following challenge.
Well done you on going to university as a 'mature' student, not easy juggling home life etc. What a great die that mini is and love the colour combination of your Uni days x Great masculine card x
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh this is cute! Looks like a mini Cooper car! Love that die!
ReplyDeleteCute card. I love the die of the coop. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card Liz! Love all those dies that you used - that mini is so cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat card for a male 'petrol head' although I know a few ladies who are keen on minis too! Interesting edit on the 'lucky' black cat - didn't know they could mean bad luck although witches' cats are traditionally black which could bode ill maybe??
ReplyDeleteI've got a red mini, which is why I couldn't resist buying the die, especially when it was on special offer! xx
DeleteFabulous male card Liz, a lovely colour combination too.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on achieving your dream whilst being a Mum.....amazing!

What a lovely TL Mini die Liz and the red, black and white is a great colour combination and I adore the pretty zig zag stitch round the oval and sentiment rectangle. A fabulous card. That must have been a huge decision to go to university as a mature student to train as a teacher and by the way you talk about it on here it was obviously the right one. x
