Love Birds and a little rant!

I'm going to start with a little rant, so feel free to scroll past this paragraph.  I went to the craft fair at Westpoint in Exeter on Friday with a friend.  There weren't too many papercraft stalls,  but we still managed to stock up with a few bits and pieces and somehow spent three hours browsing!  The day was marred by witnessing a loud bang caused by someone, who I assume was a crafter, leaving the car park as they reversed straight into a parked car.  There wasn't any major damage, but there was a nasty scratch down to the bare metal on the stationary car and the driver left some of their orange paint behind!  When the driver saw that my friend and I had witnessed the accident and were walking toward them, they sped off without getting out of their car to inspect the damage.  So, if you were the owner of the stationary Nissan X-Trail car, parked in the disabled section of the car park, I hope you found the message left on your windscreen saying that I'd left the registration number of the car that hit yours, together with my details, in the office in the Westpoint building.  If you were the driver or the passengers in the orange Suzuki SX4, SHAME ON YOU for not stopping!  Hopefully Karma will do its job.  Rant over!

Today's card is another monochrome card, I'm not sure why I've been making a lot of card lately with only two colours.
I love this NBUS little die, which I purchased from eBay recently.  It was perfect for the anniversary card I made to send to friends.  The background is embossed with an X-cut 'Small Polka Dot' e/f.  A strip of red ribbon with small white hearts finished off my card.

  1. Good on you for leaving the details of the car - my OH did the same recently and the owner of the damaged car bought him a lovely bottle of wine to thank him!
Absolutely gorgeous card - you always seem to be able to find exactly the right embossing folder to make a perfect background

  2. You are what we call a Citizen on Patrol. Good job for reporting it as there are so many people that would have just walked off and not got involved. Oh, I wish we had more people in the world like you.

I love the cute red and white card. Lovely die. [Bunny]

  6. Well done on getting the details of that **** driver and I'm sure the owner will have been so relieved to find your note. We returned to a car park once to find someone had reversed into our car. He got out of his car and saw the damage he'd done before driving off thinking he'd got away with it but luckily someone saw him, wrote down the car details and waited until we returned to the car park to pass them on to us. I can't tell you how grateful we were as it was a very hefty repair bill and of course we did proffer a token of our appreciation. So good on you... you've probably saved the owner so much stress and grief.

As for your fabulous card... that die is so sweet and O live the red and white colour combo xx

  7. Good for you Liz in being quick enough to get the registration number of the card that did the damage and hopefully the damaged car will be able to get recompense. I love your sweet die cut birds and the little embossed hearts together with that red ribbon make the perfect background, and red and white always look great together. I just wondered if the die is from the Chinese site that people have begun to use, and if so what the service was like. I have looked but didn't know whether to take the plunge or not. x

Good for you leaving the offenders details - I've had a couple of cars hit mine in car parks and then do a runner without leaving their details. Sigh.

  15. Hi Liz, a stunning card love the red and white, the ebay dies are amazing value and always seem to cut perfectly. A job well done leaving the other cars details for the unfortunate driver, who may have enough problems of their own being parked in a disabled spot. Have a wonderful week... Megan

I really think people that just drive off are so bad! But Karma will hit them when they can use it less I suppose...
