Christmas Tree

A Christmas card today to join in with a few challenges before they close.

I've had this lovely patterned paper for ages and I thought it was time I actually used it. The image is a stamp from the Penny Black 'Wonder Collection', which I've embossed in silver.  I've used Memory Box 'Stitched Rectangle' dies for the image and mat.  The sentiment is a stamp from the same set, which I've stamped with Versafine 'Smokey Grey'.  The sentiment was punched with a scalloped circle punch and layered on a Memory Box 'Stitched Circle' die cut.   I've raised the sentiment up on foam pads to add dimension.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  8. I have that pretty tree but I got along with some other stamps as a freebie several years ago but haven't used it lately. The soft grey looks great with that pastel green paper and the darker green matted layer brings it all together. A fabulous card Liz. x
