Welcome to my new follower, June of Poppyfield Card Crafts.
I am joining in the Twofer Challenge #17 with this pair of cards.
On the first card I used a Darice 'Honeycomb' embossing folder. I covered the join with a curved, scalloped die cut using a magazine freebie die. I stamped three bees along the curved die cut, coloured them with Promarkers and added a flight trail with a fineliner pen. The sentiment is computer generated and die cut with a Memory Box 'Stitched Hexagon' die and I hand cut the mat leaving a thin border.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
On my second card I stamped an image from the Stampin' Up 'Humming Along' set of stamps. I used the same Lavina bee stamp and the images were coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment stamp is from the same Stampin' Up set. The dies are Memory Box 'Stitched Hexagons' and the patterned paper is from Anna Marie Designs.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty cards, especially like the honeycomb with the little bees flying through. Happy cards x
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous Twofer cards Liz and I adore your sweet bees together with the pretty hexagon embossing and the curved scalloped border with the three beautifully coloured little bees buzzing across. Your second card is perfect too with the wonderfully coloured hibiscus and another little bee flying around it, and the soft bluey green patterned hexagon framing the image, and the centre strip look fabulous. x
ReplyDeleteLiz, these are just gorgeous, those bees look so realistic..great cards.x
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, those bees on the curve with the honeycomb embossed background -- love that! I think it's very clever how you used the large hexagon for your flower card in keeping with the bee theme. Don't bees make the most perfect hexagons? Amazing! Both cards are very pretty and perfect for our bee-themed Twofer challenge!
ReplyDeleteThat's a terrific real-look bee stamp, Liz! I can see why you wanted it. I love how you made three of them moving along the honeycomb highway you cleverly created for them on your two-toned birthday card! And the get well design is stunning! I love your coloring of the flower and the shade of green you used for the hexagon frame and horizontal panel! Everything is so sharp and crisp!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #17! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards Liz and I especially like the one on the left and the stamps, colours and embossing all co-ordinate beautifully. Wishing you a happy weekend x
ReplyDeleteLove these two gorgeous bee cards.

Wonderful card designs and that bee is perfect. I will have to look for more bee images myself as I only found one. I love the honeycomb look as well on the first one as that makes for great texture and the curvy center is awesome to show the flight of the bee. And on the second one that is a gorgeous flower that bee is pollinating.
ReplyDeleteOh, wonderful cards. My favorite is the one with the honeycomb. Super card.
ReplyDeleteSuch fabulous 'Bee' cards, both unique and love the fun sentiment too x
ReplyDeleteSo cute - I like that curvy line. Thanks for entering the feminine - and/or embossing = challenge at the Crafter's Cafe.
