In my last post, I shared a card I'd made for a friend celebrating a milestone birthday. A group of us had a collection for her so she could buy something special for her garden. I had the job of making a card to put all the money in. I decided to make this 6" x 4" pocket card, which was the perfect size for the notes. This photo shows just the front of the card which was attached to a card blank so everyone could sign the card inside.
The paper is from a Papermania paper pad and I glued the two flaps together so the money didn't fall out. The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Humming Along' set. I punched out the sentiment and layered it on a hand cut mat.

My daughter Jo is recuperating after her op with my ten year old great nephew Gilby and his family. When my great nephew discovered that the Freewheelers (Blood Bikes) transported my daughter's blood for her operation, he wanted to raise some money for them. (They are a UK charity run entirely by volunteers and transport blood, plasma, human organs etc around the country. They rely on donations to carry out this vital service.) Gilby decided to ask his Mum to help him make face masks to raise money. He asked me to help him make a box for the masks so he can sell them in the local village shop and he chose to make it in red and yellow, the colours of the Blood Bikes.
I am SO proud of my great nephew. He's growing up to be a wonderful, thoughtful young man.

He's also selling his masks to family and friends and is hoping to raise £100. Here he is with my daughter wearing their masks.
I am SO proud of my great nephew. He's growing up to be a wonderful, thoughtful young man.
