The Twofer Challenge ends today, so I'm sneaking in a last minute entry. The theme this month is 'Trees', two cards with different designs, for two different occasions using the same stamp, die or stencil for the prompt word.
I used a Memory Box 'Tree of Wonder' die on both cards.
I am joining in the Twofer Challenge with this pair of cards.
For my first card, I die cut the tree twice from snippets of white card and layered it up to add some dimension. I used a scoreboard to add embossed lines around the edge of the card front to form a frame. The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Painted Glass' set, stamped using a Versafine Clair 'Morning Mist' ink pad.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
The used the same tree die on my second card, just using the two branches which I snipped off from the trunk. I layered the branches on Memory Box ' Stitched Rectangle Layers' die cuts and a slightly larger yellow mat. The flowers are stamps from the Thoughtful Blooms set and raised up on foam pads. The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Humming Along' set, stamped with a metallic green ink pad. Lots of snippets used on this card too.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
Two super cards Liz, love the white on white, great design and a very clever way to use the image on your second card. Thank you for joining our 'Garden' challenge at Allsorts.

That's very clever to use the tree branches as leaves and it works brilliantly. The sympathy card is perfect with the embossed frame, nicely done x
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic cards, Liz! Very clever use of the die! Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful tree and love the white on white perfect for a sympathy card Liz, and then so clever to snip the leaves off and use them with a pretty little flower on each as little leafy flourishes, and great for a get well card. I only got my entry in just before midnight so you aren't the last, and someone put one up after you and before me..lol. It's lucky they are 8 hours behind us. x
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Liz. You are always a whiz on the twofer challenge. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteI missed last month's Twofer challenge. I was determined to join in this month and just about made it in time. xx
DeleteLovely cards Liz, you know I have that MB die and never used it as it was kinda weird, but you have designed it gorgeously. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative way to use the same die cut in two very different ways Liz x. Your first sympathy card is elegant and your get well card is so pretty x.

I'm glad you zipped in here and shared these beautiful cards. I love the white on white and that is a great tree die. I like how you used it by dividing it. The branches look so pretty in the green and the design is very cool.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty tree die and how you kept it white on white for your sympathy card! Then you "branched" out, creating beautiful flourishes of leaves on your get well card! Well done, Liz, these are two wonderful cards for Twofer! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at TTC!

You are the clever one Liz!!! I am in love with your twofers! First off that die is just stunning, love your sympathy card using it. But then you blew me away with just snipping off the branches and making your second twofer. I love how that looks with the little flower on it too, so beautiful!
