Purples

A card today in my favourite colours of shades of purple.

The patterned paper is from a Papermania Pad.   I used a Marianne Designs cArt-Us Lacé die, which cuts the design ready to fold.  I backed the folded die cut with a cream circle. The butterfly is made using two Memory Box dies, 'Pippi Butterfly' and 'Isabella Butterfly'.   A few Card Candi finished off my card.

  1. This is so pretty and I like that shade of lavender. I have a butterfly inside a swirly thing that looks like this. It spins in the breeze.

  4. Wow - that's a blast from the past not seen this technique for a while, very effective and of course purple is a great choice. Good to see you are ploughing through your card candi as well - my supply never seems to diminish however many I use.

  9. My favourite colours too Liz, pretty card.
I remember going on a card making class many years ago using that type of die...I have a feeling I may have one similar in my stash which hasn’t been used!

  12. Looks so good in those colours! Think I have 1 or 2 of those dies too. Such a pitty that we 'forget' to use them with all the new things that sre released... Hugs, Gerrina

  19. Well this card has just brought back a lot of memories. I have quite a few different dies for making this sort of card that I bought when I first started card making. I might have to dig them out and have another play :) x
