This month is the last Twofer Challenge so I wanted to make sure I joined in. The theme this month is 'Dog/Cat'. I decided to use my favourite cat stamp on both cards, an old wood mounted stamp by Hobby Art, 'Daisy Cat'. Before I show my cards I think I need to explain the black cat on my Good Luck card. In the UK a black cat crossing your path is good luck, although I know in many other parts of the world it's considered bad luck.
I am joining in the Twofer Challenge with this pair of cards.
My first card is a Get Well card. I used a paw print border punch for the panel down the side. The sentiment is a stamp from the SU 'Humming Along' set. I coloured the image with Promarkers and used Lisa Horton's 'Scallop Layered Rectangles' for matting and layering. Three tiny pink pearls finished off my card.
I cut off part of the front of the card and attached the paw print panel on the inside of the back of the card.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
My second card is a Good Luck in cream and black. The image was coloured with Promarkers and I added three tiny green pearls to the necklace. This time I used Memory Box 'Stitched Oval Rectangle Layers' for matting and layering. The background is embossed with a Creative Expressions 'Pawprint Lattice' embossing folder. I put a strip of ribbon across the bottom and added a sentiment.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

Hi Liz, apologies for being absent from commenting recently - it's summer school holidays and I have no time for leisure! I'm popping over now with my official Sweet Stampin' DT hat on to say thanks for joining in with us this time with these fabulous cards. But even without the hat on - I still think they are gorgeous ;-)

Love the cat stamp and the paw prints are adorable! Thank you for playing along with us at Sweet Stampin'. Tracey x
ReplyDeleteThe cat is such a cutie Liz and love both your Twofers. Pretty in pink with the sweet grey cat and lovely punched paw prints down the inside edge, and the more dramatic look of the super black cat with the added little pearls on the necklace, and the pawprint embossed lattice and the ribbon with the 'good luck' sentiment finish this brilliantly. x
ReplyDeleteThey are fabulous cards Liz and that cat really does have the cheshire cat grin...adorab;e xx
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to see why this little cutie is one of your favorites - she's adorable! That face! Reminds me quite a bit like my little kitty Sugar. She'd sit up and smile just like that! Speaking of smiling...someone will smile and definitely feel better when this card arrives in their mailbox! Absolutely adorable. LOVE the pinks!!! I don't consider black cats to be bad luck, either. Any kitty is lovely to see! Especially this one. I do so like the embossing, and her sitting on an oval. Two awesome cards, Liz. Thank you so much for playing along at the final Twofer Challenge, and for all your support over the years. It's been a great run, hasn't it?!! Take care. Bev
