Stitched Flower

I made this card for a card swap.  The cross stitching was done with crochet cotton as I find it easier to use than embroidery thread on the the die cuts.

Card recipe:
Die ~ Marianne 'Cross Stitch Border'
Embossing Folder ~ 8" x 8" (Unsure of the brand, possibly Crafter's Companion)
Red Card Candi
Crochet cotton for cross stitching

  22. The floral cross stitch is beautiful Liz, and I think that the crochet cotton looks more substantial and on card would definitely be easier to handle. I have done some of this and found the embroidery thread difficult to pull tight enough and it tends to twists too. The embossed background and card candi finish it perfectly. x
