It's Helen's turn to introduce the new Allsorts Challenge and she has chosen the theme of 'Animals'. As always there is also the Anything Goes option. A male friend of ours collects pigs (not real ones!), so I made him this card for his birthday.
I used an MFT 'Cross-Stitch Tag' die and chopped of the top to make it into a rectangle. I used crochet cotton for the stitching. The background was embossed with Lisa Horton's 'Cubes' embossing folder. I used a snippet of Anna Marie Designs text paper to make panel across the middle. The matted stitched image was attached with foam pads to add some dimension.
There are two prizes of Lavina stamps, stencil and scenescapes.
I am joining in the following challenges:
Anyone who collects pigs is sure to love this card and it is perfect for the Allsorts theme too.

ReplyDeleteA great card for your friend .. .. I am sure he will love it.
Fabulous use of the cross stitch die and super neat stitching too.
Hope you have a good weekend.

Such a fun and thoughtful card, Liz! The stitched pig is absolutely charming and the way you transformed the tag die into a rectangle is so clever. I love how the textured background and layered elements add depth without overwhelming the design. The mix of materials—from crochet cotton to embossed cubes—gives it a wonderfully tactile feel. Perfectly playful and personal for a pig collector!
