I was lucky enough to win some digi stamps from Just Inklined over on Butterfly Challenge. I just couldn't resist this dragon digi stamp!
The background was made by embossing a piece of white card with an SU 'Square Lattice' embossing folder. I used a brayer to ink the embossed card with an Adirondack green 'Meadow' inkpad. It is so easy to ink this embossed design and works just as well on the reverse to give a totally different effect. The image was coloured in with Promarkers and I added two red Card Candi to pick out the colour of the heart.
Edited to add a link to a card made with embossed card inked on the reverse. You can see it HERE.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:
He looks fab Liz. I will pop him on the winners tab. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteOh this is super Liz - what a splendid chap :) Just don't let hi loose in the Playground, hee, hee.
ReplyDeleteLove the brayered background - I'm curious as to whether you embossed and then ran the inked brayer over. Or, whether you did the trick I've sometimes used and brayered one side of the embossing folder with ink before then running the card inside it through the embosser. Either way it looks terrific, especially with that brilliant folder which is a current favourite here.

I'll keep him on a lead in the Playground, Di. ;-)
DeleteBecause the pattern on the embossing folder is so small, I always emboss the card first with this particular embossing folder, then run the brayer over the embossed card. It works perfectly and there is no embossing folder to clean. :-)
Just about to make another post showing a card with the inking on the opposite side of the embossed card. xx
Thanks for that Liz! I have that folder too and it's good to know there's no EF cleaning involved :)
