We returned from a fabulous week in Ireland today. Sitting in an Irish pub in Galway, listening to traditional Irish music, means I can cross something else off my 'bucket list'. I'll post a couple of photos later in the week.
Today's card is an anniversary card for friends of ours. I can post a photo on my blog, now I know the card has been received.
Spellbinder 'Lace Hearts' dies were used for the heart and corners. I used the heart die again with red card so I could add the little red heart in the heart shaped aperture in the large white heart. The heart was raised up on foam pads. I used a DoCraft 'Small Polka Heart' embossing folder for the background, which I die cut with a Sue Wilson 'Double Pierced Square' die. I used lots of white and red snippets for my card, so I'll be off to play in the Playground.
I am joining in the following challenges:
This is so elegant and beautiful!! I love the dies you used and the embossing!! The pop of red is fabulous!! I look forward to seeing your pictures of Ireland!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

A beautiful and elegant card. What lovely dies. We are very keen on Irish folk music and spent a similar holiday about five years ago. Now you didn't say how much Guinness you drank! Barbxx
ReplyDeleteI only had a sip of hubby's Guinness, Barb, just to say that I tasted it! I'm still not keen, so I stuck to the cider. ;-) Somehow drinking wine in an Irish pub didn't feel right. xx
DeleteThis is such a gorgeous Anniversary card Liz - I bet your friends totally loved it!Lovely dies you used too - perfect for this red and white design as well.

Very lovely I red and white and so much texture too.
ReplyDeleteI love this anniversary card Liz with mainly white and just that pop of red on the heart and the sentiment plate. The corners are so pretty too and the little heart embossing folder goes beautifully. x
ReplyDeleteSorry, I missed the bit about your holiday in Ireland and glad you had a great time. Ireland is somewhere I have never been, but maybe one day. x
