A card today which I hope has reached its destination. I had a snippet of this background in my bits box from this project HERE which I liked too much to throw away. It seemed the perfect background for this hummingbird image.
A card today which I hope has reached its destination. I had a snippet of this background in my bits box from this project HERE which I liked too much to throw away. It seemed the perfect background for this hummingbird image.
For the background I used the rubber band heat embossing technique with silver embossing powder over a Distress Ink background. The hummingbird is a Sizzix die, 'Free Bird', cut in black and matt silver card.

Oooh, I love hummingbirds! We have our feeders out each summer! We seem to have a lot of hummers this year! Beautiful card and nice way to use your snippet!

Beautiful! Love this striking rubber band technique background! I also used mine for one of my cards ! The hummingbird really pops gorgeously on top of it. Just a reminder that you entered in too many challenges according LIM rules (total 5 including ours) but anyway thanks so much for sharing this beauty in our gallery!
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry! I entered it into just five challenges as I knew the rules, but when someone left a comment to suggest I enter it into the AAA challenge, I forgot that LIM was one of the challenges I'd already joined in and added an extra challenge. xx
