I sent one of the cards here to a wonderful 92 year old lady who is self-isolating. She was thrilled to receive a handmade card through the post and asked if I'd make some for her to keep in touch with her friends. I made her a few of this CAS poppy design, as well as the cards at the bottom of this post.
The poppy stamp is from the Stampin' Up 'Painted Poppies' set, stamped with Memonto 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with a Promarker. The sentiment is a stamp from the Happy Little Stampers 'Birthday Friends' set. I used a Couture Creations 'Chain Link' embossing folder for the bottom half of the card and added a spotty/stripy strip of patterned card across the middle.
I am joining in the following challenges:
These are the other cards I made for my friend to send, a similar design to the one I sent her.
A wonderful collection of cards Liz, I'm sure your friend will be delighted with them as will her freinds.

ReplyDeleteLovely texture on your pretty card. Your friend will be delighted to be able to share your cards with other people. That's very kind of you. Adore the poppy card and the cards for your 92 yr old neighbour are such a nice idea for her. The Doc’s 93 yrold aunt is not letting a virus stop her in her tracks. She is still using her walking frame to go to her local shops for food.!! Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThe poppies are so bright and pretty on your first card! You know it was very well received for your friend to want to do the same for others. The other cards are sweet and cheery. Thank you so much for playing along with the Penny Black and More Challenge.
