Follow Your Dreams

My laptop decided to die on me this week and won't be fixed until next week, so I'm having to retake photos of my recent cards and use our PC.  Note to self..... regularly back up my laptop! 😉

I made this card this week after seeing an online demo for the fold in a craft Facebook group I belong to.  I'm sure the fold has a name,  but I don't know what it is.  A 'Top Diamond Fold' perhaps? 😊  The card demonstrated was a bit larger than this one, so I adjusted all the measurements so it would fit into a 5" x 7" envelope.

It's a pretty easy fold to do, just four score lines in a rectangular piece of card.  The patterned paper is from a Trimcraft 'Sail Away' paper pad.  The image is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Sailing Home' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne' and coloured with Promakers.  I used my scoreboard to score lines around the image it from it and added some tiny red pearls.

This photo shows the card open, revealing the sentiment inside.  The stamp came from the same SU set as the image.

Sorry to hear your laptop died! I need to back mine up more regularly too, it's old and I don't trust it much anymore! But I'm the type of person that won't replace it until it's absolutely necessary.

Thanks so much for sharing with us this week at Allsorts challenge!

  14. A super card Liz, a fabulous design and I love the nautical theme. How strange that we have both use the same title for our blog posts and for totally different looking cards - like you say, great minds think alike.
