There is a special challenge over in the Allsorts Challenge this week in memory of DT member Kath who sadly passed away recently. I know she will be missed by so many crafters in blogland. The theme of the challenge is 'Favourite Stamps with the option of Paper Pieced Flowers'. I decided to use one of my favourite flower stamps, which is perfect for paper piecing.
The stamp is a Penny Black 'Whispers' stamp, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Verdant'. I paper pieced the flower with patterned paper from Lili of the Valley, 'Perfect Pair' paper pad. I used Lisa Horton's 'Scallop Layered Rectangle' dies for matting and layering. The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Confetti Celebration', stamped with Versafine Clair 'Glamorous' and I raised the sentiment up on foam pads.
I am joining in the following challenges:
A fabulous colour combo and paper pieced flowers
ReplyDeleteI think this is a stamp that Kath loved, such sweet tribute to her! The patterned paper you used for the flower and the background is so beautiful! Lovely design!
ReplyDeleteIt was one of Kath's favourite Penny Black stamps as well Liz so I know she would have loved your card especially with the addition of paper piecing.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you have joining in our Challenge for Kath, thank you. Thanks also for sharing your pretty card with us at We Love Chocolate Baroque and Stamping Sensations September challenges.
