The current Butterfly Challenge ends tomorrow, so I'm sneaking in with a last minute entry. The theme this time is 'S for Slide and Lock Card'. The elements this time are 'Slide and Lock Card/ Stitching/ Shimmering Blush (pale pink) /Steel Blue/ Sea Green + a Butterfly'. Mrs A has put the instructions for making a slide and lock card HERE.
I googled 'Sea Green' and it covers quite a few shade of green, including the one on the butterfly patterned paper and stamped sentiment and I hope the blue is 'steely' enough. The patterned paper has a pale pink background and I've added some pale pink enamel dots on the sentiment panel.
I've added some faux stitching inside with a fineliner pen. The little butterfly is punched and I used the fineliner pen for the flight path.
I am joining in the following challenges:
You created a beautiful card, the colours in the paper and lock are gorgeous
ReplyDeleteBeautiful paper for a serene card! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Liz.

I looked at the instructions for this card but I couldn't quite figure it out, but I am assuming the pretty circular topper slides over the two front edges which locks the card shut? Anyway it is very pretty Liz, and the butterfly paper is just perfect for the challenge, and also the sweet little added butterfly inside too, and the powder blue card complements it perfectly. x
ReplyDeleteYes, the circle mechanism slides over the two front panels. Basically, you start with one circle. Fold two circles in half and stick them over the first circle with the folded edges together. Take the last circle and stick over the folded circles, lining them up to keep the circle shape. When the circles slide over the front edges of the card, the front edges are inside the folded circles, which keeps the card closed . Have I confused you even more? 🤣 xx
DeleteAH! now I have it, that is so clever.
