I'd just finished writing this post, when the whole post just disappeared...... I mean the post was still there, but the photo and all the text just disappeared and I was left with a blank page! So, I'll try again. 🙄
A Triple Easel Card to share today, I do love using my Lavinia stamps. All three parts are the same size, although the middle one looks smaller in the photo. The three easels are attached by the bases to form one card.
I used a Memory Box 'Stitched Scalloped Circle' die to make the card bases. The plain white circles were stencilled with a Lavinia 'Pebbles' stencil and 'Mowed Lawn' Distress Ink. I blended a little extra ink around the edges of each circle. All the stamps are from Lavina, 'Woodland Hares', 'The Wallace Family'. 'Group of Hearts Mini' and 'Fern Leaf', stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocture'. I grounded the animals with same green ink as the stencilling. The green circles are green card, embossed with a Cuttlebug 'Forest Branches' embossing folder, with a little green ink blended over the top to add some definition. To enable the easels to stand up, I punched three white circles, put a flower brad through each one and attached the circles with foam pads. (I'm doing my best to make brads have a comeback as I have so many. 🤣) All the card I used was from my snippets box, even the card bases, so I'll be sharing my card over in The Playground.

Fantastic, Liz. I especially love the green and those bunnies. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteI wonder what happened to your original post - disappeared into the ether I guess but how annoying 🙄. I'm a great fan of Lavinia stamps and inky techniques and you've managed yet another interesting card design to showcase them here. Great that you used up some of your snippets too. There are loads of things (like your brads) which I have in abundance so it would be good if some of them made a comeback so we could use some of them up wouldn't it.
ReplyDeleteThere is no rhyme or reason to computers! This is such a great card with three in one. How clever to combine them into one, Liz. I love the greenery around those cute bunnies. I would be happy to see brads make a comeback because, like you, I have tons of them.
ReplyDeleteThe more I think about it, there is no reason why we don't use brads. They are great to connect things and many are so decorative. Let's do it!

DeleteGorgeous card Liz love the colours you have used...I think blogger is playing up I went to comment on our blog and there was no links??? but thankfully they are back now hugs Sue x
ReplyDeleteWow!!! I have never seen a triple easel as this, it looks fantastic!! Love so much the design with the wonderful Lavinia stamps, the embossing on the base and the scallop. So unique! Versafine Clair Nocturne is really the best ink for shilouettes, I discovered this fact only a few ago.
ReplyDeleteThat is such an interesting design Liz, I have not seen it before. I love Lavinia stamps too, but not that many available here
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lavinia cards Liz ..like the circle easel design

Fabulous card Liz! You do come up with some great folds and designs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card. All three sections would be lovely as stand alones but put the three together and the result is really spectacular!
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating that your original post contents got eaten!

ReplyDeleteOh, I feel your frustration re your post and that waste of precious time. I never understand why that happens. I am always losing comments before they get published. Thankfully, I have never lost a post yet. Hope I haven't spoken too soon! Your card is amazing, I don't think I have ever seen a triple easel card before. How clever. Love the colours and images too. Thanks for sharing with us at we love Chocolate Baroque this month xx
ReplyDeleteOh I love this card, Liz - so cute! I love Lavinia stamps too, particularly the animals. Gorgeous greens! Love, April xx
ReplyDeleteIt's so annoying when things go with blogger for no reason! However I'm glad you persevered Liz, as these are Super cards, love the embossing, (I enlarged to have a looky) the round easel shape and the joyous animals. All great in the lovely green and white.

This is a fabulous triple easel using these pretty round scalloped shapes Liz, and I love the black and green and with the super Lavinia hedgehogs and hares, and the flower brads work brilliantly to hold it all together. Brads are a great way of fixing things together. I do have some which I've had for years but they are not as ornate as ones I have seen you use, just plain round stud shapes...yours are much more interesting. x
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love blogger! This is absolutely beautiful, love the bright green so colourful and cheery. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Allsorts, We Love Chocolate Baroque and Stamping Sensations challenges.
ReplyDeleteBTW - I had to buy some brads - can you believe it lol!
I think I have enough brads to last several lifetimes. 🤣 xx
DeleteI've not heard of a triple easel card before but it looks absolutely stunning. And loving these Lavinia animals!
