Stitched Swan

I love adding cross stitching to my cards and I made this one for a friend who loves swans.

I used a Marianne Cross Stitch die and die cut it into a square with a Memory Box 'Stitched Square Layers' die.  The cross-stitching was done with crochet cotton and I raised the layered image up on foam tape.  The panel was embossed with a Sheena Douglass 'Water Ripple' embossing folder.  I punched three circle in the colours I'd used for the cross-stitching and raised them up on foam pads.  The sentiment is a stamp from Happy Little Stampers.

I am joining in the following challenges:

    1. Yes, it went to a friend who gave me a fabulous framed lace doily she’d made me for a special wedding anniversary a few years ago. She would know that it took while to make her card. xx
