A little snippet busting this week. Everything used for these four cards were snippets, except for the base cards.
The frame was die cut in black and again with pastel coloured card just in one of the strips each. The coloured strips were inlaid in the frame. The sentiment is an Impression Obsession die cut.
For my second card, I used a matt silver card blank, die cut the frame in white and used the same pastel coloured snippets as I used in the first card.
The Snippet Playground this time is to use snippets but with a twist of creating a Christmas project. So, I made two Christmas cards using the same design as above, but with Christmas patterned paper inlaid.
The patterned paper for both these cards was from an old Dovecrafts Christmas 12 x 12 paper pad. The sentiment was made with Sweet Dixie dies.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
How cool is that stripes die! Makes such great snippets cards Liz, might have to go on the hunt for this one :) Cathy x
ReplyDeleteA super set of snippet-busting cards Liz. Very effective and CAS too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering a piece of homework into the Snippets Playground. I’ll meet you up in the Treehouse later, after I’ve finished playing on the monkey bars with Carol!!!! X
These look all so beautiful! What a great way to use up pieces of paper! Enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely die cut to add some wonderful inlaid papers. The pastels are wonderful and a great way to use lots of colors and scraps if they are in your stash. Love the Christmas one. The die cut is very versatile.
ReplyDeleteLove the holly paper interspersed with the red! Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to use snippets for these wonderful designs. They are all lovely but that first one is just perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteThat die is very useful for using up snippets of different patterned paper and plain card Liz and they all look so pretty using different combinations. x
ReplyDeleteI love it when we can use up our leftover pieces and parts!! Thanks for playing along with our "Christmas in July" challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!! Your rocked the Christmas elements with designer papers and then nailed the masculine element keeping it simple in red & green!! -Deb Horst, DT #C4G326
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Liz! I keep forgetting that I have either the same or a very similar die - thanks for the prompt. I can imagine it's almost therapeutic inlaying the strips into the apertures!
