Another busy week, four days supply teaching  in a Reception class of four and five year olds.  I've had a student teacher with me in the class and she happened to mention that it's her birthday tomorrow. As I'll be teaching the class for a couple more days, I've made a quick birthday card for her today.  The class is called Sunflower (my class, before I retired), so I had to get sunflowers on the card somewhere!
After embossing the blue card with a Couture Creations 'Tied Together' embossing folder, I punched out three 1 1/2" circles down the side.  The sunflowers were made with punches.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. Lovely card Liz great design and gorgeous colours

  2. Hi Liz, what a lovely sunny card. Beautiful colours.
    Greetings Miranda

  3. Great card for a birthday!!! Love the colors. So bright and beautiful!

  4. What a sweet card for the special occasion! I love that embossing!

  5. This is just gorgeous,a fab

  6. Wonderful card Liz - the blue looks just like a bright Summer sky against the sunflowers :)

  7. She will be thrilled that you made her a birthday card and how perfect this is with the sunflowers!

  8. Your sunflower card is stunning Liz; love it.
    Hugs Veerle x

  9. Such cheery colors, and love the bright yellow of the sunnies against that lovely blue embossing. How sweet of you to make this little one her very own birthday card from the teacher. She will feel so special. Great snippet make too. TFS & Hugs

    1. This card was actually for a student teacher working with me, but before I retired from full time teaching, I used to make every child in my class a card for their birthday. x

  10. This is such a happy and cheery card. I need to make a card and I think I'll CASE your idea here. It is simple yet makes a big impact. Love it!
