HAPPY EASTER
A card today following a sketch on the Creative Minds - Kind Hearts Facebook page. Following a sketch still takes me out of my comfort zone, but I was pleased how this one turned out.
The patterned papers are from a Papermania paper pad and were snippets left over from a previous project. I used silver holographic card for the rectangle and circle mats and silver thread on the scalloped die cut circle. The ‘Spirelli’ circle is raised up on foam pads. I didn't have a fish tail banner die the right size, so I cut four banners using a Sue Wilson’s die and hid the join behind the purple circle so it looks like two long ones. The flower in the middle was made with dies from the Creative Expressions 'Petite Forget-Me-Nots'. The sentiment, stamped in purple, was from a SU set of stamps. Everything, apart from the card base was snippets, so I’ll be sharing my card over in The Playground.
I am joining in the following challenges:

Beautiful card Liz, once again, I love your color combo. You make the prettiest cards using the color purple. I struggle with that color for some reason. But you don't! I love the holographic paper behind the purple pattern paper, it gives the bit of sparkle! I enjoy sketches, and from the looks of it, you do pretty darn well coming out of your comfort zone with a sketch. One would never know your banners weren't long enough if you hadn't told us, you covered it up perfectly. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and interesting card, Liz!
