Yesterday was my brother and sister-in-law's Golden Wedding Anniversary and this is the card I made for them.
I used a Marianne Designs cross-stitch die and die cut again into a circle with a Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layer' die. The stitched design was done with crochet cotton. I layered the finished design on a Memory Box 'Stitched Scalloped Circle' die cut. For the embossed background I used Creative Expressions 'Heart Lattice' embossing folder. The sentiment was done on the computer and I finished off my card with six white, pearl hearts.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to them on this huge milestone, Liz! Your card to mark the occasion is just beautiful and I'm sure it will be a treasured keepsake! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card for a special anniversary. I like your choice of colours, the yellow is close to gold on the colour wheel, but I think it brings so much freshness into your creation as opposed to gold which can sometimes look heavy. The cross stitched centerpiece is wonderful, and I like how you repeated the heart motif in form of tiny white pearls. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
