Golden Wedding

Yesterday was my brother and sister-in-law's Golden Wedding Anniversary and this is the card I made for them.

I used a Marianne Designs cross-stitch die and die cut again into a circle with a Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layer' die.  The stitched design was done with crochet cotton.  I layered the finished design on a Memory Box 'Stitched Scalloped Circle' die cut.  For the embossed background I used Creative Expressions 'Heart Lattice' embossing folder.  The sentiment was done on the computer and I finished off my card with six white, pearl hearts.

  10. What a beautiful card for a special anniversary. I like your choice of colours, the yellow is close to gold on the colour wheel, but I think it brings so much freshness into your creation as opposed to gold which can sometimes look heavy. The cross stitched centerpiece is wonderful, and I like how you repeated the heart motif in form of tiny white pearls. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

    Hugs, Veronika
