It's Sarah's turn to choose the theme for the Allsorts Challenge this week and she has chosen 'January Blues'. It's never too early to start making Christmas card, so this is one ready for next Christmas. How will you interpret 'January Blues'? We'd love to see the challenge flooded with blue creations, but as always there is the Anything Goes option.
The card base was made with a Spellbinders 'Happy Days' die. I really like this fold and I've used this die several times lately. The papers are from The Works and I die cut a few Memory Box 'Twilight Snowflakes' to put on the steps. Three holographic Card Candi finished off my card.
Prizes are from our generous sponsors, Polkadoodles and Oakwood.
I am joining in the following challenges:
I like this style of card which must be so much easier to achieve with a die. A great Christmas one for the challenge of Blue January
ReplyDeleteI used to make this style of card by hand with just a craft knife. Finding a die to do the work was a real game changer. xx
DeleteThis is lovely Liz, such an impressive fold and beautiful papers. I can imagine how much time the die saves!

I love this fold. It has been a few years since i made one but they are great for any cards that have 4 words or numbers or anything that needs highlighted in a set of 4 for a card. Super job with this fold.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Liz! I like the shape a lot and you decorated it so well.

ReplyDeleteI am intrigued! I have seen many cards like this, but how do you fold it? It's beautiful and I can't figure it out... I love that you've shared this with us at the Sisterhood of Crafters, I hope you join us again! Now, off to google how to make this... Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt folds flat easily for posting. I made mine with a die, but I used to make them with a craft knife. I’ve found a video here which shows you how to make them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38GUqYu2TFY
